All of the 100 year old parts need to be low luster blued, no fancy colored junk, the old parts are raw hardened 100 year old materials, and short on being ugly they are functional. The 100 year old parts will need to be sourced and hand installed they are solid hardened steel. The RB1 breech block and trigger are not heavy enough in my opinion, they are out.The troops in the 1800's and early 1900's carried this firearm, using the same trigger for several decades, and what's good for them is good for me. The 100 year old trigger assembly is perfect, simple, and very reliable, it may be a heavy trigger pull, break, however it is the best thing made before the lawyers were invented. The RB1 trigger assembly sucks big time, it's been updated for the lawyers and it will not work having so many useless parts, a sear, an adjustable trigger. No RB1 fancy curved hard steel plate to deal with. The new stock recoil pad will be sourced from a "shotgun" type that has a lot of cushion.I need the wood grains going with the rifle long ways, which makes for a solid firearm platform, and a finish that is durable, not shinny, just pure raw good looking furniture. Using new, modern cut, custom built, mahogany furniture that is sealed inside and outside, a solid piece of wood, no knots, no cute grains swirling around.

This is the only way to attach a hunting stock on this rolling block and not wood screws.

The RB1 barrel looks promising, it's 30"+ long, and it's heavy, really heavy to accommodate the 45-70 high pressure round, if the rounds being used are factory made this barrel will be the best thing hands down with no issues.A fixed long range scope is the only way to go, one shot one kill. The RB1 "peep" iron sights are definitely not going to work, very impractical, they may h ave worked 100 years ago, however we are past all that, it's now a modern world of hunting. The RB1 and the 1800's rolling block Remington:
